Hmm I have to disagree with you there as with the TV license you fund one of the best News services in the world (BBC) and it ensure's no adverts - Its an interesting idea :P It also requires the content on the channels it covers to be fair and appeal to the wide demographic - Its so fair infact that take the BBC for example; they even scrutinise themselves - Don't see fox / cnn doing that? ( sweeping statement because I don't watch them lol)

I dont watch tv's...i download all my shows in high def and commercial free.
